What happened to application.h?

03/05/2012 § Leave a comment

To sort of continue the story of my issues with Ubuntu which made me into a Mint user, after installing mint and getting everything set up I found a problem with GTKMMM. Seems like any code that used the application window class (applicaition.h) was aced out becuase application.h had been removed from the kit. And not only that, but its been put back in RedHat forks, but not in Debian yet! At least that’s what I’ve been ble to figure out from the sparse mishmash of information I’ve been able to cull from the internets.

If anyone has any further info I’d appreciate it. Appears to be available in later revs of GTKMM in unstable mode, so I’m recompiling glib, gtk+, and gtkmm with the later stuff to see if I can get back on my master plan. I have several projects I want to write and this is a real hassle.
